Banana Oatmeal Bars Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups mashed bananas (approx. 3 bananas)
  • 1/2 cup nut butter
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Heat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9 inch baking pan with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make removal easy.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine mashed bananas, nut butter, rolled oats, cinnamon, vanilla extract, maple syrup, chocolate chips, and salt. Stir until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  3. Transfer Mixture: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan. Use a spatula or your hands to flatten it into an even layer. You can sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top for added sweetness and texture.
  4. Bake: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the bars are set.
  5. Cool and Slice: Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack. Once cooled, cut into 16 bars and serve.

  • Store bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to a week.
  • These bars freeze well for up to 2 months; thaw before eating.
  • To make vegan, ensure the chocolate chips are dairy-free.
